CAPE Award Site Visit Set for Cedars-Sinai Next Week

 The California Council for Excellence, a non-profit educational foundation, recently selected Cedars-Sinai for a site visit based on the application we submitted for the 2006 California Award for Performance Excellence (CAPE). 

 


Rate has doubled since March

 After the excellent gains made in reducing the use of unapproved or dangerous abbreviations at Cedars-Sinai, the number of violations has started creeping up again.

New Center Set to "Go Live" on Nov. 27


NON-INVASIVE TREATMENT -- The Gamma Knife is a non-surgical alternative to traditional brain treatments.

 The latest Gamma Knife® technology will soon be available at Cedars-Sinai with the opening of the Gamma Knife Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute.

Virtual Meeting Place Unites Patients

 The Neurosurgery Dept. has launched an Internet site to provide a support system for patients.

 


 Jeffrey M. Dym, M.D., a musculoskeletal radiologist, has joined the Mark Taper Imaging Center. 

 Dorothy Lowe, M.D., has opened her own practice in Beverly Hills. 

 Mark Rapaport, M.D., was cited in the October 16 issue of "Psychiatric Times" regarding his presentation on clinical trials.
