Unit-Specific Changes Planned In Response to MD/RN Survey

Following a record response to the recent MD/RN Satisfaction Survey, medical staff can expect to see tests of change on the unit level over the next several months.


Include INDICATIONS in Order "Per Pharmacy"

When writing "per pharmacy protocol" orders, the Pharmacy Dept. asks that physicians please remember to include the indication for the requested medication (e.g. vancomycin for osteomyelitis, warfarin for atrial fibrillation, etc.).

With the opening of The Spielberg Family Center for Applied Proteomics on September 14, Cedars-Sinai advanced the field of "personalized" medicine to help patients fight diseases such as cancer, heart disease and autoimmune disorders.

Annual Medical Staff Meeting Set for Monday, Oct. 16

The Annual Meeting of the Medical Staff will be held on Monday, Oct. 16, in the Harvey Morse Auditorium from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All members of the medical staff are invited to attend this special luncheon event.


Women's Heart Program Provides Innovative Diagnostic Test for Microvascular Disease

As heard on National Public Radio's Morning Edition, Cedars-Sinai, through its Women's Heart Program, is the only medical center on the West Coast providing an innovative, two-step pharmacological diagnostic test aimed at detecting microvascular cardiac disease in women.
