Dr. Robert Klapper Sculptures in Marble - August 11 to September 1

Robert Klapper, M.D., clinical chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai, will showcase his latest sculptures at the Klapper Gallery beginning Saturday, Aug. 11. His show, entitled "Michelangelo's Slaves: Sculptures in Carrara Marble," will be featured at the gallery, located across from the medical center at 8759 Beverly Blvd., from August 11 through September 1. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call the Klapper Gallery at (310) 652-6552.

Management & Rehabilitation of Neurological Disorders - Saturday, Sept. 8

This conference will focus on new and alternative options in the management and rehabilitation of neurological disorders, including movement disorders, stroke and other upper motor neuron syndromes. Bioethics Noon Conference - September 19

The Center for Health Care Ethics will present its Bioethics Noon Conference on "End-of-Life Planning for End Stage Renal Disease Patients" on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. Guest speaker is Bruce G. Barlow, M.D., clinical professor of the Department of Family Practice at UC Davis. (This conference meets the Pain Management End of Life Issues requirement.)

8th Annual HIV/AIDS Conference - September 28

8th Annual Update in Gastroenterology - Oct. 26-28 (Friday - Sunday)

The Division of Gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai will present its annual conference in gastroenterology on October 26-28 at La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, Calif. The course is designed to provide the latest updates in various aspects of GI practice, and this year will highlight inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, pancreatico-biliary and motility. 3rd Annual Run for Her 5K Run and Friendship Walk - Sunday, Nov. 11

The 3rd Annual Run for Her, which benefits ovarian cancer research at Cedars-Sinai, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the medical center. Proceeds benefit the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute, part of the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. The registration fee is $35.
