ABIM Seeks Photos of Internists

ABIM Seeks Photos of Internal Medicine Specialists for New Website

By John G. Harold, M.D., FACC
Member, Board of Directors, American Board of Internal Medicine

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is requesting photos of physicians certified in Internal Medicine or ABIM subspecialties for inclusion on its new website. The ABIM would like to include actual board certified internists and sub-specialists rather than stock photography, either in a practice setting or engaged in a hobby.

The ABIM plans to feature photos on the site that provide a good sampling of physicians from many different institutions, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. I encourage internists or sub-specialists from Cedars-Sinai to be featured on the new website. Please forward photos that follow the specifications outlined below to photos@abim.org by Friday, July 6, 2007.

Photo Submission Guidelines:

  • Each photo submission must include the physician's full name and hospital/health system affiliation.
  • All photo submissions must be digital and provided at the highest resolution available (JPEG format, RGB mode).
  • Submission of a photo does not guarantee usage. Image files may be removed by the photo editor without notification.
  • If a photo submission is chosen by ABIM, the person submitting the photo will have to sign a photo release form.
  • Photos should include the physician in a practice setting or doing their favorite hobby. Pictures can be candid or posed.
  • Please include complete contact information including e-mail.

Please contact Lynn O. Langdon (Llangdon@abim.org) at the ABIM if you require further information.
