Redstone Prostate Cancer Research Program

Dedication Ceremony Held June 26 at Cedars-Sinai

The Sumner M. Redstone Prostate Cancer Research Program was formally dedicated at Cedars-Sinai on Tuesday, June 26. The program will help support a six-year national prostate cancer study, as well as cancer drug development and clinical trial programs designed to bring new therapies and treatments to patients.

The Redstone program, which is part of the Louis Warschaw Prostate Cancer Center in the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, was made possible by a $35 million gift from the Sumner M. Redstone Charitable Foundation. The program will expand upon the current lab research and clinical trials being done at the cancer center, under the leadership of Medical Director Stuart Holden, M.D., and Research Director David Agus, M.D.
