Only Three Weeks Left Until April 10 Deadline

After April 10, medical staff members will be considered delinquent if they have not provided their National Provider Identifier (NPI) to Cedars-Sinai and will be subject to the delinquency process as exists in their department.

New Cases of Multi-Drug-Resistant Organisms Decrease

Thanks in large part to the stringent infection control measures being taken by Cedars-Sinai physicians, nursing staff and other employees, efforts to avoid the spread of multi-drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumanii continue to be effective.

FDA Strengthens Safety Information for ESAs

Erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) should be given in the lowest possible dose required to gradually increase hemoglobin "to the lowest level sufficient to avoid the need for blood transfusions," according to an FDA alert.


New ALS Center Allows Patients to See Multiple Specialists in a Single Visit
