You Must Submit Your NPI by May 23 Deadline

Approximately 400 medical staff members have not yet provided their National Provider Identifier (NPI) to Cedars-Sinai. Physicians who do not submit their NPI will be put on administrative suspension on May 23, 2007.


Antidepressant Medication Warning Changes Proposed

The FDA has proposed that makers of all antidepressant medications update the existing black box warning on the prescribing information for their products to include warnings about the increased risks of suicidal thinking and behavior in young adults ages 18 to 24 years old during the first one to two months of treatment.

Rabbi Meier Addresses the Challenges of Patients Who Become Self-Destructive

Many people who are not clinically depressed engage in self-destructive behaviors, which can lead to illness, suffering and even death, says Rabbi Levi Meier, Ph.D., Jewish chaplain at Cedars-Sinai and a clinical psychologist.
