FDA Issues Clarification Regarding Rocephin - Calcium Interaction

Roche has informed healthcare professionals about revisions made to the prescribing information for Rocephin to clarify the potential risk associated with concomitant use of Rocephin with calcium or calcium-containing solutions or products.

 

Medical Student Reception Set for Sept. 18

All medical staff members are invited to attend the annual medical student reception on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Each fall, Cedars-Sinai hosts this event to introduce students from local medical schools to the medical center.


World's Premier Stem Cell Scientists to Present Research on Monday, Oct. 1


The 2007 International Symposium on Retinal Stem Cells will be held in Harvey Morse Auditorium from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch will be provided, and the registration fee is waived for all Cedars-Sinai staff and attending physicians.


Default Patient Unit

You can customize your Web/VS display after login to view a specific patient unit. For example, if you are a physician who works in the Emergency Department, you can configure your settings to display the ED patients after you log in.

 

A newer form of catheter-delivered therapy for cardiac arrhythmias is being used at Cedars-Sinai, called cryoablation, which exposes faulty tissue to sub-zero temperatures to destroy it.
