Annual Meeting of the Medical Staff is Oct. 15

The Annual Meeting of the Medical Staff will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, in Harvey Morse Auditorium and includes the presentation of the Annual Pioneer in Medicine Award. Cedars-Sinai's MD/RN Collaborative has extended the deadline for its annual MD/RN Satisfaction Survey to Friday, Oct. 12.


Haloperidol Gets New Warnings and Revised Prescription Information

Johnson & Johnson and the FDA have informed healthcare professionals that the WARNINGS section of the prescribing information for haloperidol has been revised to include a new Cardiovascular subsection regarding cases of sudden death, QT prolongation and Torsades de Pointes (TdP) in patients treated with haloperidol.

Medical staff members got their first official glimpse of Cedars-Sinai's new fully automated robotic specimen handling system this week at a special ribbon cutting ceremony in the Core Laboratory on September 19.

The Cedars-Sinai International Stem Cell Research Institute, in conjunction with the Eye Defects Research Foundation, will host a symposium on Monday, Oct. 1, featuring an international line-up of world-renowned stem cell scientists whose research focuses on retinal degeneration.
