Bioethics Noon Conference on Caring for Risky Patients - February 20

The Center for Health Care Ethics will sponsor a Bioethics Noon Conference on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from noon to 1 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. The topic is "Caring for Risky Patients: Duty or Virtue?" and the guest speaker is Tom Tomlinson, Ph.D., director of the Center for Ethics & Humanities in the Life Sciences at Michigan State University.

The 24th Boris Catz, M.D., Lectureship - February 21

Cedars-Sinai will present the 24th Boris Catz, M.D., Lectureship, in conjunction with the Cross-Town Endocrine Club, on Thursday, Feb. 21, in Harvey Morse Auditorium. A buffet dinner will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by the lecture from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The topic is "A Perspective on Papillary Thyroid Cancer in the 21st Century." James R. Klinenberg, M.D., Symposium on Rheumatic Diseases - March 8

This one-day symposium is designed to provide up-to-date information on how to recognize, diagnose, treat and manage common rheumatologic conditions. Diabetes 2008: What's Hot and What's New - March 29

This program will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday, March 29, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will provide physicians who treat diabetic patients with a comprehensive update on what's new in the field. The course is designed to update endocrinologists, internists, family physicians, pediatricians and allied healthcare professionals who are involved with the care of the diabetic patient. IBD Hot Topics 2008 - March 29

Cedars-Sinai is jointly sponsoring this half-day program on Saturday, March 29, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Greater Los Angeles and Orange County Chapter, to provide a state-of-the-art approach to diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
