"Handle with Care" Event to Benefit HIV/AIDS Clinics in Kenya - March 9

Cedars-Sinai medical residents in the Department of Medicine will hold a "Handle With Care" fundraising event on Sunday, March 9, to benefit HIV/AIDS clinics in Kenya. The event includes a silent auction and fashion show, and will be held at the Sofitel Hotel from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 each, and proceeds will benefit AMPATH (Academic Model for the Prevention and Treatment of HIV), which operates as part of the Indiana University-Kenya Partnership.

Diabetes 2008: What's Hot and What's New - March 29

This program will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday, March 29, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will provide physicians who treat diabetic patients with a comprehensive update on what's new in the field. The course is designed to update endocrinologists, internists, family physicians, pediatricians and allied healthcare professionals who are involved with the care of the diabetic patient. IBD Hot Topics 2008 - March 29

Cedars-Sinai is jointly sponsoring this half-day program on Saturday, March 29, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Greater Los Angeles and Orange County Chapter, to provide a state-of-the-art approach to diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Cedars-Sinai's 6th Annual Physician Basketball Game - May 18

The Attending Staff Gomers will take on last year's winning team, the Housestaff Blues, on Sunday, May 18, at the Beverly Hills High School swim gym. The basketball game is sponsored each year by the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association and Community Health & Education.
