Klute Evans to Join Hospital Epidemiology

Klute Evans to Leave Her Role as Service Line Director

Dee Dee Klute Evans, R.N., who currently serves as a service line director, has announced she will be joining Hospital Epidemiology as a Nurse Epidemiologist, effective March 17.

Klute Evans, who has served in a management capacity at Cedars-Sinai for 25 years, was the service line director for numerous departments, including the Emergency Department, Employee Health Services, Procedure Center/PICC Service, DOTEC, Ellis Eye, Dental, Primary Adult Clinic, Inpatient Specialty Program, Rheumatology, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine.

"The decision to leave my director's role was not an easy one," said Klute Evans in a staff announcement on February 6. "At the same time, there have also been wonderful changes in my personal life (two years ago I started a new chapter in my life and got married) so I am excited about my new role. It will allow me to continue working with the best of the best at Cedars-Sinai, closer to direct patient care and education, and balance my work with my time devoted to personal pursuits."
