23rd Annual Sports Spectacular - June 1

The 2008 Sports Spectacular, which benefits the Medical Genetics Institute at Cedars-Sinai, will be held on Sunday, June 1, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. The sports awards gala kicks off with a silent auction and kid's carnival from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards show from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. A limited number of individual tickets are available for $500 each. The Heart Foundation Gala Honoring Motown Legend Berry Gordy - June 7

The Heart Foundation presents its annual fundraiser on Saturday, June 7, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel beginning at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from this year's event, "A Tribute to Berry Gordy," will support the research of Prediman (P.K.) Shah, M.D., director of the Division of Cardiology and the Atherosclerosis Research Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. For ticket information, please call (818) 865-1100.

The 30th Annual Bernard Strauss, M.D., Urology Day & the Adolph A. Kutzmann, M.D., Lectureship - June 12

This year's lectureships will be held on Thursday, June 12, in the Harvey Morse Auditorium from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will focus on children with urologic conditions treated frequently in the practice of both the general urologist as well as the pediatrician. The 25th Bernard G. Sarnat, M.D., Plastic Surgery Day - June 28

This annual conference will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City on Saturday, June 28. It will provide plastic surgeons, general surgeons and allied healthcare professionals with updated information on advanced techniques and refinements in a number of aesthetic procedures. This year's course will focus on current applications in reconstructive surgery of the breast for reduction and after breast cancer. Cedars-Sinai Sand N' Snore Event - July 18

Bring the kids and join your colleagues for a fun sleepover for the medical staff and their immediate families at the Jonathan Beach Club on Friday, July 18. You bring the outdoor equipment (including your own tent), and Cedars-Sinai provides the food and entertainment. Cost is $45 per adult and $35 per child 12 years and under. If you don't want to spend the night, you can simply come for dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening at the beach. The cost for dinner only is $30 per adult and $20 per child 12 and under.
