Physicians compete in basketball game

Members of the House Staff Blues hoist teammate and coach Eugene Kim, M.D., into the air after winning the annual basketball game against the Attending Staff Gomers.

The House Staff Blues took the big trophy at this year's basketball game sponsored by the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association and Community Health & Education.

In the end, the Blues beat the Attending Staff Gomers by a score of 72 to 42.

Clive N. Svendsen, Ph.D., joint leader of the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center at the University of Wisconsin, has been named director of the new Cedars-Sinai Regenerative Medicine Institute, effective Dec. 1, 2009.


Three students awarded Washington Family Scholarships
