Jan. 6 Reception for New OB/Gyn Chair

Alumni Association Business Meeting and Dinner – Dec. 8

Bernard Salick, M.D., will be honored as the Howard I. Wilner, M.D., Alumnus of the Year at the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association’s annual dinner and business meeting. Arrhythmia Symposium at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute – Dec. 10  

This symposium will provide information on advances in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders. Participants will develop a detailed approach for patients with supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias, bradycardias, pacemakers and defibrillators. The conference will take place on Friday, Dec. 10, from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium.    

2nd Annual Arrhythmia Symposium 2010 Agenda

Emergency Medicine Symposium – Dec. 10    

This one-day course will provide an overview on a broad range of topics pertinent to emergency medicine practitioners. Cedars-Sinai faculty will present lectures on topics ranging from disaster preparedness and physician wellbeing to the management of seizures and obstetrical emergencies. The symposium will take place on Friday, Dec. 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel, 300 S. Doheny Drive.

Policy, Practice, Perspective: End of Life Care at CSMC – Dec. 15

Stuart G. Finder, Ph.D., director of Cedars-Sinai’s Center for Healthcare Ethics, will speak at the Ethics Noon Conference on Wednesday, Dec. 15, in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. with the conference following from noon to 1 p.m.

Advances in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT – Jan. 21-23         

This three-day course will use a practical approach to all aspects of gated SPECT, and offers multiple sessions that focus on cardiac CT and its relationship to nuclear cardiology. The program will take place Friday, Jan. 21, through Sunday, Jan. 23, at the Sofitel Los Angeles, 8555 Beverly Blvd.

International Symposium on Pancreatic and Biliary Endoscopy – Jan. 28-30      

This teaching course will be an intensive review of pancreatic and biliary endoscopy for gastroenterologists, gastroenterology fellows and gastroenterology nurses. The conference will be held Friday, Jan. 28, through Sunday, Jan. 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium.

Symposium on Neurovascular Disease – Jan. 29  

This course will provide information on changes in the many facets of neurovascular disease, including stroke due to carotid or intracranial atherosclerotic disease and thromboembolic causes, hemorrhage due to cerebral aneurysms, dissections or vascular malformations, and other causes. This conference will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. at the Casa del Mar Hotel, 1910 Ocean Way, Santa Monica.

Symposium on Current Concepts in Spinal Disorders – Feb. 3-5

The 10th annual symposium will focus on treat methodology, new and emerging technologies and controversies in spine-care management. The conference will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, through Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Advances in Neurology and Neurosurgery – Feb. 26-27

This one and a half day course includes information on established and emerging treatment options for headaches, brain tumors, epilepsy, degenerative neurological and spinal disorders, and endovascular and stroke management. The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 27, at The Ritz Carlton, Marina del Rey, 4375 Admiralty Way.
