Private physicians interested in bringing Cedars-Sinai's electronic medical record to their offices are invited to an informational session on Monday, Feb. 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium.

Steven Galen, M.D., and Martin Hopp, M.D., Ph.D., have been tagged to serve as the new co-chairs for the CS-Link Physician Advisory Committee (PAC) this year.

Fat behaves differently in PCOS patients

Fat tissue in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) produces an inadequate amount of the hormone that regulates how fats and glucose are processed, promoting increased insulin resistance and inflammation, glucose intolerance, and greater risk of diabetes and heart disease, according to a study conducted at the Cedars-Sinai Center for Androgen-Related Research and Discovery.
