Ethics Noon Conference - Feb. 3

"Cultural Sutures: The Mating of Medicine & Media" is the topic of the Ethics Noon Conference on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in Harvey Morse Auditorium. The guest speaker will be Lester D. Friedman, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Media and Society at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. and the program runs from noon to 1 p.m.

9th Annual Symposium on Current Concepts in Spinal Disorders - Feb. 4-6

This conference for orthopedists, neurosurgeons, fellows, residents and other physicians interested in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 4, through Saturday, Feb. 6. It will be held at the Bellagio Hotel, 3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas.

Advances in Neurology and Neurosurgery 2010 - Feb. 20-21

Sponsored by the Cedars-Sinai Department of Neurosurgery, Department of Neurology, Department of Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Spine Center, this conference will update attendees on established and emerging treatment of neurological disorders, especially in the fields of brain tumors, spinal disorders, vascular disease and stroke. The conference will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, and Sunday, Feb. 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey, 4375 Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey.

The James R. Klinenberg, M.D., Symposium on Rheumatic Diseases - March 13

This one-day symposium will provide up-to-date information on how to recognize, diagnose, treat and follow common rheumatologic conditions. It will address the management of musculoskeletal disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus and gout. The conference is Saturday, March 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel, 1260 Channel Drive, Santa Barbara.

"Renoir in the 20th Century" Private Viewing - April 21

Enjoy a private viewing of "Renoir in the 20th Century" at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Wednesday, April 21. This exhibition is the first monographic study dedicated to Renoir since the comprehensive retrospective of 1985 at the Galeries nationales du Grand Palais in Paris, and the first one ever mounted by LACMA.
