New database offers citation analysis

The Medical Library has added a new database, "Web of Science," which offers citation analysis and methods to measure the impact of research.

"Web of Science" allows users to view citation information for an individual or an institution, such as number of times cited, average citations per item and year, number of results found, and the h-index.

Dr. William Ganz Memorial Service - Jan. 14

A memorial service for world-renowned William Ganz, M.D., will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, in Harvey Morse Auditorium. In 1970, Dr. Ganz and then-Chief of Cardiology H.J.C. Swan, M.D., invented a balloon-tipped catheter to assess heart function in critically ill patients.
