PACS Images can be accessed in Web/VS as follows:

  1. Log into Web/VS and select a patient in the usual way.
  2. Select PACS Images from the "Reports" menu OR click the "PACS" icon displayed to the left of a report title on either the Imaging Reports list or the Recent Results listing.

Physician News

Mahul B. Amin, M.D.

Dr. Amin was honored with two awards by the College of American Pathologists for outstanding leadership and contributions in the field of pathology.

At a ceremony held in Chicago this past month, he received the College of Pathologists Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes contributions to the practice of pathology and to the organization. Dr. Amin also received the College of Pathologists Foundation's Lansky Award for demonstrating leadership consistent with the CAP Foundation's goals of promoting science and education in the field of pathology resulting in innovative improvements to patient care, identifying critical issues that affect the field and the public, and educating colleagues in the field and the public about pathology research.

Dr. Amin is chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Shlomo Melmed, M.D.

Dr. Melmed has been awarded The Fondation Ipsen's 9th Endocrine Regulation Prize. The honor recognizes his achievements in advancing research discoveries in endocrinology to innovative treatments for patients.

Dr. Melmed is senior vice president of academic affairs, dean of the medical faculty and director of the Burns and Allen Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

John Williams III, M.D.

Dr. Williams, director of Reproductive Genetics in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, recently performed the 25,000th chorionic villus sampling (CVS) procedure of his career. This is the largest number of any practitioner west of the Mississippi. The test analyzes cells from obtained from placental tissue as early as the 10th week of pregnancy to identify fetal genetic disorders.
