Preparing for "Carmageddon"

Cedars-Sinai Makes Contingency Plans for Upcoming I-405 Closure

As you have undoubtedly heard through the media, "Carmageddon" will be Friday, July 15 - Monday, July 18 with the closure of I-405 from the I-10 to the 101. The freeway is scheduled to close Friday night at 10 p.m. (with on-ramp closures starting at 7 p.m.) and reopen on Monday morning at 6 a.m.

Director of Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute Appointed

Richard Nathan Bergman, Ph.D., a renowned expert in diabetes and obesity research, has been named director of the Cedars-Sinai Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute. Bergman will also join Cedars-Sinai’s Department of Biomedical Sciences and its Department of Medicine as a distinguished research scientist.

The deadline to submit posters for the third annual Cancer Institute Research Poster Presentation is Monday, July 11. Clinical and translational research posters will be on display from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, in Harvey Morse Auditorium.
