Honors for Bairey Merz, McGovern, Noble, Shaw

C. Noel Bairey Merz, MD, has received a Professional Achievement Award from the University of Chicago; Dermot McGovern, MD, PhD, FRCP (Lon), and Robin Shaw, MD, PhD, have been elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation; and a team led by Paul W. Noble, MD, has been awarded a grant by California's stem-cell agency.

FDA Warns About Unapproved Use of Doribax

Pharmacy Focus

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has concluded that Doribax (doripenem), an antibacterial drug used to treat patients who develop pneumonia while on ventilators, carries an increased risk of death and lower clinical cure rates compared to use of imipenem and cilastatin for injection.
