Celebration Addresses King's Impact on Healthcare


Cedars-Sinai held its 14th annual celebration of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. last week, with leaders from across the organization and community sharing their insights on how King's work has had an impact not only on civil rights, but also on healthcare.

Cedars-Sinai is offering CS-Link to its credentialed independent physicians for use in their private offices. Cedars-Sinai's CS-Link service is provided at a discount, helping to offset the costs associated with implementing a robust electronic health record system.

CS-Link Tip: Chart Search

Have you ever been frustrated searching for something in a patient chart? "Darn it! I know I thought about ordering a MRI" or "Didn't I refer that patient to Dr. Zzyzx?" When you are in the patient chart, look under the Log Out button on the top right of your screen. There is a magnifying glass icon next to a box that says "search."

Medical Library Adds E-Book Collections

The Cedars-Sinai Medical Library has added electronic book collections in oncology and orthopedic surgery. These collections, part of the LWW Health Library, consist of core medical texts from Lippincott Williams & Wilkins publishing.

Recognition for Baloh, Chugh, Ljubimova, Murthy

Physician News

Robert H. Baloh, MD, PhD, has been elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation, Sumeet S. Chugh, MD, has received a federal grant to study the risk of sudden cardiac arrest, Julia Ljubimova, MD, PhD, has received a career award from the nonprofit ProteoMass Scientific Society, and Rekha Murthy, MD, has won the Ritz E. Heerman Memorial Award from the California Hospital Association.

Medical staff members and their families are invited to a Night at the Aquarium, a dinner and sleepover at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, on Saturday, Feb. 27, starting at 7 p.m.
