New Primary Text Messaging Ready for Use

From Peggy Miles, MD
Chief of Staff

We're pleased to announce the availability of Voalte Me, a HIPAA-compliant text messaging solution for clinicians.

Voalte Me should be used as your primary text messaging solution when communicating with Cedars-Sinai clinical staff from your smartphone. Through Voalte Me, you can locate other physicians, clinicians and support staff around Cedars-Sinai to message them directly on their smartphone.

You'll also be able to direct-dial nursing staff. Their individual phone extensions are published in the directory. Voalte me can be a convenient and powerful communications tool; however, we'd like to remind you that it's against Cedars-Sinai policy to use text messaging to transmit orders via this platform.

As a reminder, we also have secure messaging available through Epic's Haiku and Canto apps. At this time, it is limited to users of Haiku/Canto. However, Epic is continually enriching their EMR platform by adding more features to improve its utility. We will continue to update you as new features become available.

Below, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to configure the Voalte Me app on your phone.

Before installation:
