Cedars-Sinai will mark Holocaust Remembrance Day with its 34th annual Yom Ha'Shoah event on Wednesday, April 11. The featured speaker will be Wolf Gruner, professor of history at the University of Southern California and founding director of the USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research.

It's Time for Dodger Baseball

As the official medical center of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cedars-Sinai is once again offering staff ticket discounts and promotional events at the ballpark during the 2018 baseball season. Staff will be able to save more than 40 percent off ticket prices for select games when purchasing through a special website for Cedars-Sinai.

A reminder to Cedars-Sinai staff that sensitive information sent externally via email must be encrypted. This includes, but is not limited to: patient health information, personally identifiable information and Cedars-Sinai confidential information.

The Cedars-Sinai Medical Library wants your opinion. The library's annual customer service survey is available now and runs through April 13. The survey aims to better understand the information-seeking behavior of the Cedars-Sinai community, and to measure awareness and satisfaction with library services.

Core Labs Updating Two Tests in April

The Core laboratories in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine are updating two tests in April. On Monday, April 9, C3, C4, Haptoglobin, IgG (serum only), IgA, IgG, IgM, Prealbumin and Transferin are moving from Beckman Immage to Abbott Architect. On Monday, April 30, the IgG Synthesis Rate will remain on Beckman Immage.

FDA Warns Consumers About Diaper Rash Product

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is alerting consumers of a voluntary recall of a topical drug product Pasta De Lassar Andromaco zinc oxide diaper rash treatment. The product is made by Industria Farmacéutica Andrómaco, Toluca, Mexico, and distributed by MarcasUSA LLC, El Segundo, California.
