Trendsetters' Symposium on Technology Set for Oct. 23

Trendsetters, a grassroots group of Cedars-Sinai professionals focused on networking and professional growth, is holding its Symposium on Technology Oct. 23 to spotlight and discuss innovative technological initiatives currently underway. All employees are invited to attend and are free to drop by throughout the afternoon's agenda.

The symposium, to be held in Harvey Morse Auditorium from 2-6 p.m., will feature leaders from across Cedars-Sinai as they take part in a comprehensive panel discussion addressing technology's role in the future of Cedars-Sinai healthcare delivery, including its impact on patient experience, healthcare education, privacy, clinical research and virtual care.

The panelists also will address the challenges of employing these new technologies in a rapidly shifting healthcare landscape.

"Implementing complex, cutting-edge digital technologies to create simpler and improved patient experiences is both an ongoing challenge and crucial part of providing world-class healthcare," said Bryan Croft, senior vice president of Operations. "This symposium presents a fantastic learning opportunity for anyone interested in peeking behind the curtain to glimpse the steps Cedars-Sinai is taking to help set the standards for the future of patient care."

Following the panel discussion, attendees will experience a series of three snapshot presentations highlighting technologies being implemented across the areas of data intelligence, research and regenerative medicine.

Attendees are invited to attend a networking reception after the snapshots, during which they can learn more about Cedars-Sinai's current technological initiatives through information booths and one-on-one discussions. The reception will feature a range of technology showcases, including virtual reality therapy demos and a look at the latest in earthquake warning and communication systems.

Motivated professionals interested in learning more about Trendsetters also are invited to attend one of three upcoming open houses to learn about membership and professional development opportunities:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 30, 10-11 a.m., 6500 Wilshire Blvd., San Vicente Conference Room
  • Friday, Nov. 9, 9-10 a.m., Pavilion, PEC 6 and 7
