How to Support Cedars-Sinai’s Hurricane Relief Efforts

Cedars-Sinai will make donations dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, to support relief efforts to help the victims of Hurricane Michael. Employees can contribute online through a dedicated Cedars-Sinai webpage of the American Red Cross.

Chief Pharmacy Officer Leads Drive For State Law

Rita Shane, PharmD. chief pharmacy officer, played a pivotal role in the passage of Senate Bill 1254, which now requires California hospital pharmacy staff to obtain an accurate medication history for every high-risk patient upon admission. Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill on Sept. 22.

Norman Rotenberg, MD: 1926-2018

Norman Rotenberg, an active member of the medical staff as an attending since May 1958, has died. He was 91. A veteran of World War II, Rotenberg was a two-term chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai during the 1990s. He also served as team physician for the Los Angeles Raiders from 1979 to 1996.

The first week of November will bring significant upgrades to CS-Link™. One of the areas that will be impacted most will be ordering. The upgrade will place an "order taskbar" at the bottom of your screen, which will always be visible. The icon with three lines next to the taskbar will be the preference list.
