Presentation of the Howard I. Wilner, MD, Alumnus of the Year Award – Dec. 3

The Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association will present the award to Edward Phillips, MD, on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. The award honors a physician's accomplishments and contributions to medicine. The event also will include a chamber concert by members of the American Youth Symphony, led by Alexander Treger. Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for members of the medical staff, residents, members of the nursing staff, employees and volunteers.

Sinus Center Patient and Community Outreach Conference – Dec. 10

The Cedars-Sinai Sinus Center conference will take place Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6-7 p.m. in the Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion, PEC 8. The presenters will be Christopher Zoumalan, MD, and Richard Zoumalan, MD, both of the Sinus Center. The conference will combine lectures with an open forum and a question-and-answer session about sinus disease and problems of the ear, nose and throat. Light refreshments will be served. Symposium on Current Concepts in Spinal Disorders – Jan 29-31

The 14th annual symposium will focus on current treatment methodology, new and emerging technologies, and controversies in spine care management. Internationally recognized experts will present lectures focused on healthcare reform, innovations in spine surgeries, biologics and stem cells, minimally invasive surgeries, motion preservation, complications and controversies, and deformities and pain management.
