Conference on Office Orthopaedics: The Essentials of Nonoperative Musculoskeletal Care – May 1

The CME program will provide primary care physicians with an overview of some of the most common disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and to offer them an opportunity to sharpen their skills in recommending surgical techniques or nonsurgical treatment plans that will restore function and range of motion to their patients. The conference will take place Friday, May 1, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Click here for more information or to register.

Clinical Documentation Integrity Course for Physicians – May 5

Members of the medical staff can take a Clinical Documentation Integrity Power Course for Physicians that will meet the first Tuesday of each month through Dec. 1. Sessions will take place from 3:30-6:30 p.m. in various locations. The May 5 session will take place in Thalians E117. Participants need to attend just one session. Liver Tumors: New Technologies and New Managements – May 16-17

Topics to be covered in the two-day conference include "Robotics in Liver Surgery," "Role of Nano Knife for Liver Lesions," "Liver Transplantation for Colorectal Malignancies?" and "The Latest Devices Available for Treating Liver Tumors." Current Concepts in The Management of Pain – June 6

To begin the process of managing pain, doctors must have an understanding of the mechanisms of pain, the pharmacology of analgesic medications, and the time to make a referral for more complex care. This course will provide background and an update to address these issues by highlighting the clinical science of pain medicine and state-of-the-art therapies.
