Physician Efficiency Training (PET): Widescreen Personalization — July 20

All Cedars-Sinai providers are invited to participate in open forum training sessions to learn how to finish the day faster using CS-Link™. Providers will learn how to empty their InBasket, personalize their note and much more at this free training session. The session will take place Wednesday, July 20, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Cafeteria Conference Room C. Association for Women in Science Monthly Coffee Hour — Aug. 9

Everyone interested in promoting women in science is invited to this coffee meeting, which takes place Tuesday, July 12, from 4-5 p.m. in Davis 1004.

Transcranial Doppler for Comprehensive Stroke Care — Aug. 11-13

Transcranial Doppler is a noninvasive, painless and mobile ultrasound technique that can help diagnose first-time and secondary stroke risk. It can be used in the ICU, E.R., O.R. or at bedside, and has been mandated as an integral part of the technology provided by the Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Stroke Center. The conference will take place Thursday, Aug. 11, through Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion. To register or for more information, click here.

Pancreatic Cancer Conference — Sept. 10

This conference will provide updates on recent progress and innovative treatments for all stages of pancreatic cancer, including advances in diagnostics, advanced surgical and radiotherapy techniques, systemic and targeted therapies, the genetic landscape and patient advocacy. Los Angeles Orthopedic Trauma Course: Hot Topics in Orthopedic Trauma — Oct. 22

Orthopedic trauma requires critical decision-making strategies for immediate care and surgical interventions. With more patients with complex injuries remaining at the admitting hospital, the responsibility for care rests with surgeons practicing at nontrauma hospitals. This has increased the need for surgeons who take emergency calls to be current with contemporary methods of fracture management. The conference will take place Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. To register or for more information, click here.
