Association for Women in Science Monthly Coffee Hour — Sept. 12

Everyone interested in promoting women in science is invited to this coffee meeting, which takes place the second Tuesday of each month, 4-5 p.m. in Davis 1004.

The Recurring Ethical Challenges of Telemedicine (Ethics Noon Conference) — Sept. 13

"Medicine at a Distance: The Recurring Ethical Challenges of Telemedicine" will be discussed by Jeremy A. Greene, MD, PhD, Elizabeth Treide and A. McGehee Harvey Chair in the History of Medicine, and professor of Medicine and the History of Medicine at the Institute of the History of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University. The conference will take place Wednesday, Sept. 13, at noon in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m.

Advances in Neurology and Neurosurgery 2017 — Sept. 23

This CME course will increase awareness of established and emerging treatment options for brain tumors, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease, degenerative neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and spinal disorders, as well as endovascular and stroke management. Annual Meeting of the Medical Staff — Oct. 16

The meeting will include the chief of staff report, the CEO report and executive update, and the presentation of the Chief of Staff Award and the Pioneer in Medicine Award. It will take place Monday, Oct. 16, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium.

Los Angeles Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium — Oct. 21

The ninth annual CME conference will present the latest techniques and algorithms in the care of patients with complex upper and lower extremity injuries, hip and femur fractures, and tibia, knee and ankle injuries for the benefit of orthopedic surgeons, emergency room physicians and other clinicians and healthcare professionals.
