Special Photo Exhibit on the Plaza Level Concourse - April 21-25

In celebration of National Donate Life Month, Cedars-Sinai will present a special photo exhibit, "The Long Journey: Transplantation Stories," on the Plaza Level Concourse on April 21-25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Photographer and writer Rich Nahmias spent several months chronicling the work of the Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center's talented team to tell the stories of two patients waiting for a liver transplant. This photo exhibit is a moving glimpse into their world. Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public.

Bioethics Noon Conference - April 23

The Center for Healthcare Ethics will present its Bioethics Noon Conference on Wednesday, April 23, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Lunch is available at 11:30 a.m. The topic is "Moments on Life's Moral Edge," and the special guest speaker is Richard M. Zaner, Ph.D., Emeritus Professor of Medical Ethics & Philosophy of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Private Tour of the New Broad Contemporary Art Museum - May 14

Medical staff members are invited to take a private tour of the new Broad Contemporary Art Museum at LACMA on Wednesday, May 14. The cost is $40 and includes a light buffet dinner. Limit two tickets per physician. To reserve your tickets, please call Myra Castillo at (310) 423-2681.

Office Orthopaedics: Essentials of Non-Operative Musculoskeletal Care - May 17

This full-day course will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium and will present management techniques for common orthopaedic treatments that can be performed in the primary care physician's office. Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center surgeons and other musculoskeletal experts will present lectures to assist primary care practitioners in performing the most common basic orthopaedic procedures. There will also be breakout sessions for demonstrations and hands-on practice of the various techniques. Pre-registration and fee is required. Cedars-Sinai's 6th Annual Physician Basketball Game - May 18

The Attending Staff Gomers will take on last year's winning team, the Housestaff Blues, on Sunday, May 18, beginning at 12 p.m. at the Beverly Hills High School swim gym. Admission is free so bring your family and friends! The game is sponsored each year by the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association and Community Health & Education. Please click here for an event flyer.

2nd Annual Women and Ischemic Heart Disease - May 28

This educational symposium will be held on Wednesday, May 28, from 2:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium and includes a complimentary dinner. The conference will explore cardiovascular disease and the sex-specific issues facing physicians and allied healthcare professionals relative to coronary physiology, diagnosis, risk factors, screening modalities, revascularization, prevention and medical management strategies. Hollywood Bowl Fireworks Spectacular - July 3

Cedars-Sinai medical staff and their immediate family members are invited to celebrate the Fourth of July at the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday, July 3. Cost is $110 per adult and $60 per child 12 years old and under. Limit one box per physician. Parking passes are also available. Cedars-Sinai Sand N' Snore Event - July 18

Join your colleagues for a good ol' fashioned sleepover for the medical staff and their immediate families at the Jonathan Beach Club on Friday, July 18. You bring the outdoor equipment (including your own tent), and Cedars-Sinai provides the food and entertainment. Cost is $45 per adult and $35 per child 12 years and under. If you don¿t want to spend the night, you can come for dinner on Friday night and enjoy a relaxing evening at the beach. The cost for dinner only is $30 per adult and $20 per child 12 and under.
