Patient Allergy Update

A detailed listing of the patient's allergies is now available on the Patient Banner via a pop up window display. Once the "Allergies" hyperlink (located in the upper right hand corner on the Patient Banner) has been selected, a pop up window will display listing all of the patient's allergy details which include: Substance Description, Severity, Reaction Type and Notes.

The patient allergies are also viewable in the "Patient Profile" located in the "Reports" section.

Viewing the Patient Profile:

  1. Log into Web/VS and select a patient in the usual way;
  2. Select "Patient Profile" from the Reports menu;
  3. Scroll down to the "Allergies" area; a detailed list will display.

For updates to the "Allergies¿ record, contact the patient's nursing unit, and they will update PCX accordingly. Once PCX has been updated, the updated Allergy details will display in Web/VS.
