Second Annual Handle With Care Auction - March 1

The second annual charity benefit will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, at the Sofitel Hotel. Tickets are $75 and available online. There will be a silent auction and music by Caitlin Crosby. Proceeds benefit the Los Angeles Mission Community Clinic on Skid Row. Advances and Controversies in the Management of Head and Neck Cancer, Thyroid and Parathyroid Diseases Symposium - March 14 and 15

This two-day symposium will address current advances in the diagnosis and management of head and neck disorders - from the medical and surgical management of parathyroid disease and thyroid nodules to the use of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) techniques. The conference will feature an optional thyroid and parathyroid diagnostic ultrasound workshop on Sunday afternoon. Maintaining Surgical Mastery - April 30 to May 2

This symposium will expose attendees to the latest techniques and associated strategies in patient care using a case-based, highly interactive, analytical format. Plenary sessions will present video surgery case reviews in which attendees are encouraged to engage with faculty and colleagues using an audience response system. Cross-fire debates are an important component of these sessions, as are discussions about topics such as avoiding burnout. Elective course modules will highlight advances in a number of practice areas including minimally invasive procedures, oncologic surgery and bariatric surgery. The conference runs Thursday, April 30, through Saturday, May 2, at the Montage Beverly Hills, 225 N. Canon Drive.
