Countdown to CS-Link

Revenue Cycle launched March 1

More than 200 members of the medical staff were treated to breakfast, giveaways and information about CS-Link, Cedars-Sinai's new electronic record system, during the mornings of Feb. 24 and 26

More than 5,000 Cedars-Sinai employees are now using CS-Link after the Revenue Cycle phase of the project went live March 1. This launch included applications for scheduling, registration, patient placement, census management, hospital billing, and coding and abstracting.

Physicians who attended February's meet and greets on the mezzanine level were able to ask questions of the CS-Link team regarding how the Revenue Cycle launch would affect them and about CS-Link in general.

"Most of the physicians have some awareness about CS-Link, but these 'meet and greets' allowed them to ask the questions that were on their minds and find out more about the Revenue Cycle part of the project," said Paul Silka, M.D., Chief Medical Information Officer and Medical Director for Clinical Informatics. "We're still in the process of designing the clinical end of CS-Link, and input from the medical staff is always appreciated."
