Asher Kimchi, M.D.

Dr. Kimchi, vice clinical chief of the Division of Cardiology at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, has been elected as a Fellow of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences effective July 1, 2010.

This honor has been bestowed upon him "in view of his high achievements in his field and distinguished services which he has provided in promoting cardiovascular education and health care delivery." There are only 250 fellows of the academy worldwide at any given time.

Peter J. Julien, M.D.

Dr. Julien (middle) received a California State Assembly Resolution in recognition of the advancement of the Minimally Invasive Tumor Ablation Program at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center at Cedars-Sinai.

Dr. Julien is chief of thoracic imaging and director of the Radiofrequency Ablation Program at Cedars-Sinai. The resolution was presented on behalf of Assemblymen Paul Cook, 65th District, and Mike Feuer, 42nd District.

Michael Lill, M.D.

Dr. Lill was appointed by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer to be Cedars-Sinai's Cancer Liaison Physician for a three-year term. Cancer Liaison Physicians are responsible for spearheading commission initiatives at their hospital’s cancer program, collaborating with outside agencies, and facilitating quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Lill is medical director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai.
