All employees are invited to attend an appreciation event in Harvey Morse Auditorium from 3:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The event will include a partial tour of the Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion in addition to food and giveaways.

6th Annual Office Orthopaedics Conference: The Essentials of Non-Operative Musculoskeletal Care – May 4

The goal of this program is to discuss the most common disorders of the musculoskeletal system; attendees will learn about both surgical techniques and nonsurgical treatment plans to restore function and range of motion in patients. Housestaff Blues vs. Attending Staff Gomers Basketball Game – May 5

The Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association and Community Health and Education will sponsor the 11th annual basketball game on Sunday, May 5, at the Beverly Hills High School "Swim Gym." There will be free food and drinks at the event, which is open to the community. Doors open at 11 a.m., and the game starts at noon.

Back to the Future: Moral Dilemmas in Transplantation – May 15

Mark D. Fox, MD, PhD, MPH, will speak to this topic from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in Harvey Morse Auditorium. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. Fox is the Julian Rothbaum Chair in Community Health Research and associate dean for Community Health and Research Development at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine in Tulsa, Okla. The Ethics Noon Conference is sponsored by the Center for Healthcare Ethics.

Clinical and Translational Research Workshop – July 15-19 or July 22-26

The Clinical and Translational Research Workshop is designed for junior and mid-level clinical researchers who have completed their doctoral degrees, are working in translational medicine and are seeking to keep current with advances in clinical trial design and translational research. The workshop will be held July 15-19 at UCLA and July 22-26 at Cedars-Sinai. Students may choose to attend either or both weeks.
