Clinical Documentation Integrity Course for Physicians – June 2

Members of the medical staff can take a Clinical Documentation Integrity Power Course for Physicians that will meet the first Tuesday of each month through Dec. 1. Sessions will take place from 3:30-6:30 p.m. in various locations. The June 2 session will take place in PEC 8. Participants need to attend just one session. Dr. Leon Morgenstern Great Debates in Clinical Medicine Resident Competition – June 5

The debate will convene for its 12th year on Friday, June 5, at 8 a.m. in Harvey Morse Auditorium. The topic will be "Fee-for-Service Medicine — Will it Survive?" Derek Serna-Gallegos, MD, will argue that it will survive. Monica Jain, MD, will argue that it won't. The debate will be part of Cedars-Sinai's second annual Founders Day.

Second Annual Founders Day Celebration – June 5

All medical staff members, employees and volunteers are invited. Enter to win fun prizes and test your knowledge of Cedars-Sinai pop culture by playing in a giant audience-participation game show. Current Concepts in The Management of Pain – June 6

To begin the process of managing pain, doctors must have an understanding of the mechanisms of pain, the pharmacology of analgesic medications, and the time to make a referral for more complex care. This course will provide background and an update to address these issues by highlighting the clinical science of pain medicine and state-of-the-art therapies.
